What is AWeber?
In simple terms, AWeber is an email marketing and automation platform that allows users to send email newsletters and also automate a string of emails to subscribers e.g. welcome emails, promotional emails and so on.
AWeber is designed to be easy to use, so anyone can create and send modern, professional-looking emails and run effective email marketing and automation campaigns.
AWeber features
AWeber has a huge amount of different features to help you create and broadcast emails, set up automated funnels and manage your subscriber list.
Create and send emails
AWeber has an easy-to-use drag-and-drop editor so you can create your own HTML emails to send. There is not much of a learning curve to it, so you can be up and running designing an email in no time.
As well as designing your own email, you also have the choice of over 700 templates to use if you prefer. As you would expect, some of the templates are not great and actually look a bit dated now - but you can modify the templates to suit your needs so they are a great way to learn the ropes if you are new to creating emails.
If you have a list of subscribers and you want to keep them up to date with your latest blog posts, you can automatically create emails featuring your blog posts using AWeber's RSS-To-Email function. This takes the RSS feed of your blog and turns it into an email listing your blog posts that you can schedule to send to your subscribers whenever you want.
Get more subscribers
As well as creating and sending emails, AWeber can also help you get more subscribers.
You can build customised sign-up and opt-in forms using AWeber's form generator and paste them anywhere on your website, with all form completions automatically populating your broadcast lists stored on AWeber.
Email automation
One of the things that sets AWeber apart from other email marketing platforms is its email automation tools.
With AWeber you can schedule a sequence of emails to send automatically to subscribers - which you can analyse and measure to help optimise the campaign and increase conversions.
For example, when you get a new subscriber you can begin a sequence that sends a 'thanks for subscribing' email that features your top 3 blog posts that they might be interested in reading. Four days later another automated email could be sent with a special discount, then a week later send another email reminding your new subscriber of your services and so on.
AWeber pricing
AWeber offers a 30-day free trial period, after which you can choose between the following five plans structured around how many subscribers you have:
- up to 500 subscribers: $19 per month
- 501 - 2,500 subscribers: $29 per month
- 2,501 - 5,000 subscribers: $49 per month
- 5,001 - 10,000 subscribers: $69 per month
- 10,001 - 25,000 subscribers: $149 per month
AWeber will also offer bespoke packages to anyone with more than 25,000 subscribers.
A 14% discount is available if you pay annually rather than monthly.
One of the big advantages of choosing AWeber over other email marketing platforms is that they make all of their features available on all of their plans, whereas some tools only 'unlock' certain features for customers on the more expensive plans.
